Hey guys, I’m new to the site and am looking for some help. I had some work done on my Tacoma and the mechanic accidentally unplugged. The wire under the dash. Ever since then it seems to have a battery drain. I can’t find where the wire plugs back in and was hoping one of you Toyota wizards could help a brother out so he could get his son’s truck up and running again. I will attach a picture of the cord. Thanks again for the help!

Looks like an aftermarket cable. I'd follow it to the other end to see what/where it's connected to.
If you have a simple DVOM you can do a basic parasitic draw test in a few minutes and confirm. Most older cars have less than a 50 mA draw.

that’s kind of what I thought it was also. I traced it, and it kind of disappears into the plastics on the left side. Can’t seem to see where it goes too, though

Around $26,000 worth of unleaded in the fuel tank.
That sure does look like a CD changer cable for the radio.

It does have an aftermarket cd player in it, but it still works and powers up. You think it has a separate cable for the cd changer part of it?

It sure does look like an external disc changer cable. It could be an XM satellite radio module cable too.

Would it plug into the back of the cd deck on the console you think?

Do you mean the center console where the cupholders are?
