Help - Bought VSC Rotors for my 04 - Can I make them fit?

I am replacing the brakes on my 04 Tacoma. I went to swap them out just now and found the rotors I bought are for a VSC equipped truck; mine is not. Bottom line is the bolt pattern is right, but the rotors are bigger in diameter.

They are big enough that they hit the factory dust shield. Can I trim the dust shield and make them fit or am I SOL.
