So I finally got around to installing an upgraded valve body. Apparently the locking part of the green connector has broken off so I'm worried the connector could eventually slide off. I decided to put a bit of ultra copper rtv gasket to hold the connector in place & now I'm second guessing myself. Any suggestions?

As long as the RTV you used is not effected by transmission fluid it should work just fine.

Another option would be to get a new harness from Toyota. Or get a new connector and re-pin the wires into it.

I wonder if you could find that connector online somewhere. Would be the best bet, I'm sure the whole harness is somewhat expensive.

Well the whole harness is 54 which isn't as bad as I'd thought it would be

    Awesome thank you Dwayne.

Another related question, does ipt modify any of the solenoids when they upgrade the valve bodies?

I don’t recall if they actually change the solenoids. If you call John at IPT he’s a good guy and can answer any questions you have.

I have their complete A750F transmission build. No problems at all with it.
