I am about to change my spark plugs on my truck this Friday and if anyone had availability I sure could use some help if you have done it before.

I will also be doing an oil change.

    I am in Charlotte, NC.

    Thanks Firefighter!

I have already printed it out and have it ready for Friday. I have changed out spark plugs on tons of vehicles just not one with coils like this. I am sure I will have no problems just rather have someone there to say stop dont f that up lol.

Mostly stock for now, I have added a cb radio, various cheap mods and I plan on adding aftermarket wheels and other items in the future.
Yeah I agree that it will be very easy for you to do.

Just make sure to start on the passengers side of the block, that's the easiest side.
That way you will have a better understanding on how to do it, for when you do the harder side which is on the drivers side.
And make sure you have all the tools needed, you'll be fine. Take your time.

Thanks for all the support. I am pretty good with trucks just hate to mess up my new one since its been all dealership maintenance up till now. Will your only an hr away. If I get off work at a decent time I might drive your way. I appreciate you offering your assistance.

I am going to go buy the oil today after work. I am assuming walmart for Mobil 1 synthetic has the best prices right?

Yep, walmart has the best price.
Just make sure not to pick up the crappy Fram filters they sell there, and buy a mobil 1 filter. Or any other good filters such as, wix, k&n, purolator, and Toyota filters.

I live in University and work in Downtown. I grew up in South Charlotte, near Ballatyne.

Thanks for the info on the filters. What grade of oil yall think I should snag for the winter months upcoming? Although with the amount of driving ahead of me I will most likely have to change it in a month .

The only thing I would add, is when you have the boot off the plug, a dab of die-lectric grease is good up in the boot. Along with the aready showen anti-sezie on the threads. Then you also could put in irridiums and "forgetaboutit" for a good while....

Thumbs up to Will for offering up after work. I was going to offer up my help if you wanted to wait 'til Saturday. I live in Columbia, drive to Charlotte every night with work (FedEx on Scott Futrell) and then back to Cola. (usually twice a night seeing we are busy) Spinning back around to Charlotte with the Tacoma after I park the big truck would not be a problem. I've done it when I get those "convenient" flight times out of Charlotte-Douglas.

Looking forward to the up-coming mod day. I have a cubby full of loose change to pay for my ribs. ;)

If you need that hand, let me know.

    IT'S DONE! :woot:

Took me roughly 1.5 hours. Followed the directions closely and ran into only a few snags.

Minor Point that would like to share. Make sure the engine is completely cool when you go tighten the spark plugs down. The tape used to hold the sockets together will melt and you will get the socket stuck down on the spark plug. Talk about frustrating . That was the most time consuming of all things. Getting that damn socket out sigh..

I was also able to do my tailgate clamp while I was at it.

All in all I rate this a 3/10 difficulty.

Thanks again to Chris4x4 for his explanation and to Firefighter and Tacomaman for thier suggestions and pats on the back.
