Hey all!! Happy 4th of July, hope you all are a having fun and time this weekend!!

I'm torn between a couple different slider/step options for my 2015 DCLB. I have narrowed it down to the AVID bolt-on slider/steps and the SOSoffroad bolt-on slider steps. Both that I am considering would have the fill plate option. I am primarily going to be using them as steps, run away cart and door ding protection. My wife who is only 5'2" and just had back surgery and now can't get in the truck easily so we need some steps. Luckily for me she doesn't like the look of the step options out there so I get some cool gear thats functional ;)

Who has personal experience with either of two as step options? Which makes a better step? Especially for short people that have a hard time getting in and out of the truck.

A couple concerns of mine is that it looks like they may be a little high since they are supposed to be tucked somewhat close to the body for clearance. Another is the angle they normally have, it seems like 10-12 degrees is common, is that an odd pitch for step use or am I overthinking it?

I know the Avid slider/steps aren't going to take the abuse of the SOS's, but I don't plan on sliding my daily driver over any rocks anytime soon. lol However once my wifes back gets better we may go exploring and camping a bit where they may come in handy. I have narrowed it down from all the options out there to these two because I like the look and price.

Any experience, pictures or info would help!! Thanks everyone!

I have avid but I'll be selling mine for SOS at some point. I dont go sliding over rocks but I do go off road sometimes, my Avids get abused pretty terribly, they need to be sandblasted and repainted. Also, think about hi lift jacks, pretty sure you can't use them with Avids.
