Searching for an A/T tire for my '99 Tacoma 4x4. I'm on my last leg with some Kelly Safaris which have been pretty damn awesome but they don't seem to make them anymore. I'd like to replace them with something good on mileage, long lasting, somewhat quiet but the best in ice/snow.rain. I drive ALOT of miles on a dangerous curvy mountain highway and a small amount of off road. Hot summer temps. Cold rain/snow/ICE sept-april. I like a good looking tire but I don't need anything bulky.

I have narrowed it down to:
    Hankook Dynapro AT
    General Grabbers AT2
    Coopers (atw,m+s,or at3)
    Michelin LTX (AT2 or MS2)

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I've been running a new set of BF Goodrich Commercial T/A Traction for the last month or so and I am liking them a lot.

My dad and buddy chris love their Hankook Dynapro ATM's in all conditions. I have not run them personally though. I do really like the General Grabber AT2's and a lot of the AT2's are snow flake rated by DOT

No experience with the Hankook Dynapro ATM, but I had the regular Dynapro AT on another truck. They do well on the road, good fuel economy and tread life, but they suck in snow and ice. I had to use 4Hi just to pull away from a light on a regular basis in winter. Off road...meh. I know the ATM gets much better reviews for snow/ice/off road, and I considered it before choosing Goodyear Duratracs. They are all right on the road IMO, aggressive but still an AT tire. Snow and ice performance has been excellent so far! Kind of loud on the highway but not obnoxious.

My take on the Dynapro AT... Really a warm weather 90% road tire, not really an AT tire IMO. The ATM is popular here in Wyoming, with quite a few Duratracs to be seen where I live.

20% tint on the front windows. 8-15-13 Installed Icons front and rear with Dakars. 2012 4Runner wheels with 275/70/17 BFG T/A KO2's. Weather Tech mats front and back. Leer shell with Leer Locker and roof racks.
I just swapped out my Hankook Dynapro AT for the new BFG T/A KO2's and I am extremely happy. We have been getting a lot of rain and they handle great, better then my Hankooks. The first week I had them I went fishing up north and they were great over rocks, sand and mud along the river. Plus they look pretty damn GOOD.

I'm running 255 width Cooper Discoverer A/T3s and am really impressed. Dry, Wet, standing water, mud - great traction. They clear their tread quickly when caked and move standing water with no sense of hydroplaning.

I'm due for some new treads, but am still undecided. I would love some MTs for off road traction, but drive 60-80 miles a day for work. I've had good luck in the past with Terra Grapplers and am considering the new G2s, but they're only P rated. Also considering General AT2s, BFGs, Hankook ATMs, & original Nitto Terras. The Maxxis Bravo ATs caught my eye, but have no idea on their quality. Thoughts?
