Yup, done did it. But I suppose I rub because I gots 305s with -12 offset. Pretty much with a lift, just keep your caster high to minimize bump steering.

I've got both mine set at F right now and no bump steer to speak of. In actuality, changing the UCA from A-F won't really change the wheel position relative to the cab mount. That's mostly accomplished by the lower cam bolts. The UCA adjustment just lets you dial in your caster. TBH, I'm not a huge fan of running high caster. About 2 degrees feels really good on my truck.

Very pleased with my Dobinson's. Allowed me to get the extra caster I needed.

At f and caster maxed at 2 from lca, I cleared the back wheel well with my 305, but The jerk steering going over bumps was too annoying. Now at d and caster maxed at 4, it feels like stock again. But I had to do some trimming and hammering. If at setting f was enough to clear my wheel well, it would seem a-f settings does offer a big adjustments. In a sense setting d has the strut articulating straight up and down. Setting f now has the strut slanted, top toward driver bottom towards front.

You must have misread. They work fine with a 285. It says you’ll need an aftermarket wheel and gives the specific wheel.

Positive caster means the top ball joint is towards driver bottom is towards front. You can get that in any setting, A-F if you use the lowers correctly.

It could also be the difference between 305s and my 285s. But for me 2 degrees positive drives well.

Thank you all! I snagged some SPC UCA’s. They were a little more but seemed to be more adjustment based on your feedback. I’ve seen multiple videos now and that seems to be their selling point (position wheel in wheel well to avoid running) among the obvious benefits of after market UCAs.

I won’t have work done until August and I’ll be sure to post pictures when I do!
    Thanks

Ive run TC, Icon Billet, SPC & Dobinson UCA's... The Dobinsons have been the quietest and the easiest to maintain of the bunch.

What kind of maintenance did the dobinsons require? Any more feedback to offer since it’s been a few years?
