    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    There should be a screen at the bottom of the fill tube. There is also a "sock" filter on the end of the pump. You will be fine. I would just play it out like something happened to your truck and you had to pay serious $$$ to fix it and let it go. She won't be the wiser and probably leave you alone.

    If she dumped anything solid in any gas tank, the fuel filter wouldn't let it pass. But if it was a damaging liquid, then I'd start freaking out.

    Worst case scenario is that you have some shards of metal sitting at the bottom of the tank. Maybe they'll corrode or something.

    This is why I LOVE my 1st gen's locking gas cover. 1st gen ftw!

    thanks for the info bro, but out of curiousity, is there a way to pull the fill tube out without having to drop the tank?

    ok you and your friend both need to just quit talking to this girl

    she's stupid enough to tell your boy she dumped something in your tank...

    she's stupid enough to think that ole boy will give her the d AFTER she exposes her level of crazy to him via actions towards you

    he's stupid for even continuing to talk to her

    if you really thought she was telling the truth, you wouldve already been dropping the tank or pulling the filler neck...or...at least i would be...then id make a post AFTER its fixed...or while its being fixed...about how some crazy psycho girl dumped xxxxx in the gas tank and the devious (but legal non destructive) ways to make her cry for years to come

    normally the fuel pump has a little mesh filter in front of its pick up, I don't think something like a tack is going to get sucked up from your tank. It is still a good idea to drop it and check...you wouldn't want something deteriorating in your tank and have it get sucked into your fuel lines.

    Do you have a plumber buddy with a pipe camera? Or call one to scope it, probably about $75 to $100. You would know for sure and quick that way.

    Yes, there is a hose right before the tank you can disconnect. You should be able to remove the filler tube through the bed side
    then.

    I wouldn't start my truck!!! :eek::eek:

    Then I would have it towed to the garage and let them check it out. Hopefully she didn't actually do anything and you are alright. If she did, I would let the garage fix it and pay them. Then I would take her ass to small claims court and sue her for just the tow, if she didn't actually do anything, or for the tow and the cost of cleaning the tank, if she did do something. :mad:

    I would take your friend seriously and avoid possible major engine damage!
