I called ARB and they said the W look is normal. Mine looks like that too. 9838C33F-A12E-4846-9897-96276881A309.jpg

I don’t know. Doesn’t seem right to me. Especially since the bump stops are so close to the frame. I hit mine. And it’s rough lol

How much lift do the Deaver's give over a stock rear?

I second this! The ability to adjust for weight is a huge plus. I haven't taken the plunge just yet, but the RXTs seem to be liked by everyone that's rocking them!

I think dobbys are on the high end of the lead springs.
    Buy once cry once.

or in most of us Dakar owners case. Buy twice, no more squeak.

Dakar HD owner here. I jack up my truck and hit them with Lucas Marine grease through a needle valve and that's it for the year.
No squeaks, no complaints. Tows well and carries a heavy load with no issues for me.

My biggest issue is they gave me too much lift in the rear at over 3".

Deaver must recently have changed that, used to say 2.5" to 3", and they would get around 3" depending on load, I bet they are just overdelivering.
Deavers are the best springs you can buy.

Dakars are the worst springs on the market, they cut up the shackles and can bind up when they jam into the side ribs of the shackles while articulating offroad or pulling into a burger joint. The problem is the 2nd/3rd leaves extend inside the shackles.
The OME design comes from the Hilux with shackle plates that come down from frame above, OME's design is incompatible with the Tacoma hanger and shackle design.
If you have these issues, take the problem to ARB/OME, stop buying garbage.

Mine are worse than this. And less than 3 years old. I contacted ARB and they said the same thing, that they look normal and don’t see a problem. I’ll be making the switch to Deaver springs soon.

The problem with the dakars interfering with the shackle needs more exposure. At the very least people need to know to trim the second leaves prior to install.

This happened to mine as well but not nearly this bad. Contacted ARB/OME and they really did nothing for me. It didn't get any worse, so whatever. They also said the W is normal. Doesn't make sense to me but I have zero sag and they are really strong so I guess that is normal for these?

I have dakars and did notice the W and they do squeak. I’ll be upgrading to Deavers one day.

For anyone reading this, don’t get Dakar’s. Mine have the “W” they squeak, and bind on the shackles when you flex them out.

You have taller bump stops and a flip kit. Try the stock bump stops. Problem solved.
