Help Deciphering FSM Torque Specs 3RZ Valve Cover Bolts

    Is the highlighted grey row the correct one for the 3rz valve cover bolts? 10 ft lbs? I dont think theres a cylinder head rear cover. It could have been a typo.

    Not the same. See steps 12 and 15 below. This is 96 FSM.
    Common knowledge on TW is 50-60 in lbs. I can't confirm that from the FSM though.
    Basically finger tight plus a slight bit more. Any overtightening will cause them to leak.

    Edit: I have had mine off my 3RZ twice and did not use torque wrench, just finger plus roughly another 1/4 turn with socket. No leaks either time.

    Step 15 describes a cylinder head rear cover and 3 bolts so that eliminates that as being the cylinder head cover.

    I bought an in lb torque wrench specifically for this repair so i dont mess it up. I did the hand tighten before and it didnt work for me its been leaking. This time i want to get it right.

    From searching ive seen that 53in lb is recommended. I guess ill go with that.
