Help diagnose my rattle/tapping noise (VIDEO W/SOUND)

On Monday driving back from a vacation my 2013 developed a loud tapping/rattling noise. This noise started out of the blue driving at 75 mph on a smooth freeway.

The noise seems to be coming from the left foot-rest on the driver's side from outside the cab. If I rest my foot on the firewall I can feel something tapping and causing the noise. I spent about an hour under the truck, in the engine bay, and under the dash and cannot find anything loose.

If anyone has experienced anything similar, I'd really appreciate some insight or ideas as to what it could be.
