Hello all! I have a 2017 DC OR with about 11,500 miles on it. I am having this high-pitched squeaking sound coming from my Taco. It sounds like it is coming from the driver's side front end. It sounds like metal on metal. It happens generally when I go over bumps and I hear it any time I am going 30 mph or less. When I try to replicate the sound by parking the truck and bouncing the front or rear end around I cannot get it to make the sound. I tried jacking the front end up and jostling the wheels with my foot and there is no sound. I cannot figure out what could be making the sound and it is driving me nuts!

I have already replaced the radiator mounts, which was the first thing I thought of after searching the forum. The factory mounts weren't bad, just barely starting to rub through. It continued to do it after replacing them with the energy suspension ones though. I thought that maybe it could have been something on the brakes but even when the brakes are applied it still makes the sound. I have been applying Fluid Film liberally to the underside of the truck twice a year beginning when I got it in October 2016. I figured maybe if I put a new coating on whatever was rubbing would get lubed and it would stop, but it hasn't yet. I Fluid Filmed the crap out of my leaf springs thinking that could be it but it still does it.

Anybody have this issue and it was something other than the radiator mounts or leaf springs? Any ideas on what I could check that I may not have considered?

It could be the cab body mounts, where it mounts to the chassis.

I will probably have to check that. I hope it is not, they seem a bit harder to change than radiator mounts.

Did you check all your driveline bolts and other chassis bolts too? Thats a maintenance service recommendation for trucks driven offroad anyways, and your warranty is still good... you shouldnt waste it.

Yeah, I checked all the bolts as well. I will probably take it in to see if they can figure it out but I figured I would see if anyone else had some ideas. They will probably tell me it is all normal or that they can't replicate it.

Try hitting the upper and lower spring perches with spray lubricant. Use something cheap if you have it on hand. If it does the job, recommend Boeshield T9 for annual cure.

I did my body mounts last week and it fixed my front end noises. They were in bad shape. It's about an hour job to do both sides.
