help dome/map lite mod

I did this mod; all was great and well... Leaving work today, expecting to see a bad ass blue interior light up as I open my doors, and only the dome light came on... Moved the dome switch, and still no map lights. Checked fuse, (7.5 dome) and it was fine.... This on a 2ND Gen. Any thoughts, ideas?? Thanks in advance ....
Oh yeah, I also did the non-transistor MOD. Just a wire, reversed the map wires and got the small golden probe, probed....

 

Are they LED bulbs? If so, rotate them 180 degrees to reverse the polls.

 

Yeah, that was already done as well.. Map lights come on by pushing the button. Dome light comes on when it's supposed to. Opening the door tho, just dome light comes on, no maps.... Gonna go look at it real quick... Any other possible fuses I can check?? Maybe??

 

Fiddling and fondling around, and a quick diagnostic of all my fuses, (pulled them all out) I come to conclude I had a loose connection on the map light/single-prong. Modified a connector to fit in the slot, and that blue hue kit right up...
For anyone else, as future reference, make sure all connections can't come lose........
Map/Dome lights are 100%. Thank you all....

 

It was a loose ground, just the same, and my new grounded method has no way of coming loose now.... Thanks again....

 

My map lights don't come either when I open the door; just the dome light. Are they supposed to?

 

You need to do the mod.
