HELP E locker problem

    Ive seen a lot of discussions about doing the grey wire mod on the E-Locker. I have. 1997 Tacoma and it does have an E Locker and I tried to do it myself. I cut the wire coming out of the wiring harness and grounded it. In this year Tacoma it was green. I did it three times so far and the light for the locker won’t stop blinking. I grounded it to the ABS module bolt but I can’t figure it out. I know it’s a good connection…could it be a bad ground?
    Thanks for any insight.
