Here in ontario we can purchase what's called a used vehicle information package, you have to buy one when transfering ownership, it tells you current and previous owners, not sure ifsomething like that is available in New York or not

I doubt that they would have info on a vehicle that isnt registered in ontario, you would have to check with the dmv in the state its registered in.

 

This thread has me curious where my first vehicle is now. It was a 93 Dodge Dakota long bed, 4x4, and a 318. Since I lost my virginity in the bed of that truck, I'd like to find it so I can mount the bed on my wall. A homage of sorts to one hell of a cocksman (in my younger days).

That's a Tacoma. OP's truck is a 95, but it's a Toyota pickup. Not Tacoma.

Just a thought, but if it is/was registered in Monsey,NY chances are its being used in Brooklyn. Specifically the Borough Park section. Good luck!

 

If registered in Monsey why used in Brooklyn ? If so I'll go there next weekend

 

A lot of people register their vehicles upstate. The difference in the cost of insurance is astronomical. The people who live in Monsey, NY are mostly hasidic and commute between Borough Park, or Williamsburg Brooklyn and Monsey. Saturday is a good day to drive around as it is their sabbath and no one drives. I would advise you to steer clear on weekdays, as the traffic is really bad. If you need more info send me a message.
