Help finding rear quarter panel

Reaching out to see if I can get some help sourcing this part. I see this part shortage has been ongoing for a long time. We hit a deer and the rear passenger quarter panel is crushed around the wheel (2012 Access cab TRD, 6 foot bed). The backorder list is 500 deep, there are no Tacomas in junk yards, and the very few 2nd gens for sale in the area are 15k. I’m located in Idaho, but willing to ship it in from anywhere.

Every panel on the passenger side has some sort of damage, but the bed panel and horizontal trim piece are the only parts the shop has called out as being unable to source. They have some ideas on how to do the trim piece.

Good luck. The body shop at our dealership has been waiting for one we ordered on Mar 20th of this year and the current ETA is the middle of next month hopefully.

 

quarter panel as in the bed side? Have you checked craigslist? Where are you located, so others can help search for you?

EDIT: 05-15 long bed share the same panel, so that should expand your search. The difference would be if it were 2wd vs 4wd

 

I’m in Boise, ID. It is the bed. I’ve checked Craigslist, although I plan to keep widening the search. There is a large junkyard with multiple sites across the state and a searchable inventory; no Tacomas there either.

It drives fine and my husband’s elk tag opens next week, so we’re taking the truck back from the shop. It’s sat there for two weeks without any work done because the shop didn’t want to get midway through a claim without a path forward. We are supposed to meet with the body shop GM when we pick it up.
