I have been having shudder issues with the auto transmission in my 2005. I pulled the valve body put in the ratio tek shift kit last fall and it was ok but had delayed engagement at times and still did a few weird shifts now and then. 10k later towing my 16’ aluminum Jon boat and it puked the front pump seal out of it.
Now I’m looking for a used unit per @gearcrunchers thread I need a unit out of a 2005-2007 4x4 v6 truck. I have checked my local salvage yards and they don’t seem to have anything available. Nearest one is a week away for a grand with 150k+ not thinking that’s the best route. If anyone knows of or has a transmission for sale please let me know.

Too bad your not in Houston. We have entire parts of the city dedicated to junkyards.

I’ve bought engines and transmissions off eBay before and had them freight shipped to my location. May be worth a gander

That still seems low for it to fail. Did you flush it every 50, 000?

I flushed when I purchased the truck at 130k then again at 150k and 175k I have no history of services before that. I’ve had the truck for 6 years and I paid 7500 for it. I got it at wholesale price through the ford dealership I worked at.
