I have an all pro expo aluminum bumper that I've modified. I had to do a really hard winch pull this weekend that pulled my bumper down. Bumper is undamaged just pulled the top two bolts and and the thin metal they go through slightly forward. My thought is to straighten the bent metal and weld 1/4 inch plate front and back to gusset it. Would you recommend this or how have you guys dealt with this

You can see how the bumper has been pulled forward here

You can see here how I modified the bumper and removed the lower cross member for better approach angle. This also removed two of the mounting locations for the bumper so the bumper pulling forward is not a reflection on all pro quality

I think he's talking about where the stock crash bar would be the bolts are pulling forward bending the metal where the all pro bumper is attached.

OP I'm no expert, but I'd say your idea would be good. Weld a plate on the front and gusset the back(if you can) it's a tight fit back there to get a gun.

Thanks guys. Ended up doing a bolt on design that I think will work. Needs a little more work but can post pictures if you guys want when I'm done

Glad to hear u r bolting instead of welding regardless. A good higher grade bolt typically will have a higher shear value than any weld. So ideally if u can weld up a reinforcement bracket with gussets and then bolt it in place on the truck that would give u your best results long term.

Yep pretty much what I did. Haven't had a chance to work on it again yet to take pictures.
