    Hello TW,

Starting my first mods today! Getting new tires, wheels and a 3/2 lift. Super excited about it.
However, I am looking for advice on what to do with my stock tires? Is craigslist the best route? Do Dealerships buy gently used? I'm under 5k on them.

Any idea what these good year wrangler tires w/ kevlar go for w/ under 5k?

Any help would be great and like I said super excited about this and joining the community.

    Thanks!

Good call. Think I might just scour the internet and see if I can find someone selling something similar.

Thanks, I was just reading the rules and wanted to see if anyone else had any experience doing it another way.

Private sale may be an option. I hate dealing with "tire kickers." The last set, I just went to Discount Tire and they gave me credit towards new tires. It was something like $75/tire, which came out to $300. Good enough for me.

They also make you wait 30 days which was not in the rules that I read. They do this to prevent spam, and discourage people who are not planning to contribute to the community.

I sold QNTY 4 brand new take offs on CL for $800 with wheels. Retail on the tires was probably like $125 to $150 but that is a guess.

Mine were brand new, but I was happy to get $200 per wheel/tire.

If I had to guess, I think the wheels were $100, and tire was $100 from a value perspective.

Just FYI and as a reference last summer I sold my 2017 OEM TRD-OR wheels & tires (minus TPMS) on CL for $900; it had just under a thousand miles on them.

Mine went of offerup for $725 wheels and tires. <100 miles on them. I probably could have held out for more but I was pissed off from loading and unloading them multiple times because some asshole agreed to buy them and did not think to check that they would fit a Tundra. I just wanted them gone. Sold within 24 hours of posting them for sale. Craigslist got me nothing but scam/spam replies.

I'll have to check that out. Offerup?

Thanks for the tip on Craigslist. That's what I'm trying to avoid.

People will want you to hold the tires until they get the time to look at them or get the money. Tell them the first person showing up with the money gets the tires.

Sweet. Hopefully I can unload mine quickly and get some money. Want to put some rocksliders on next. Just got my new falkens on last night.
