Dry ice in a bag (wear gloves)- get the gum super cold and scrape it. Also WD-40 works like a charm.

Veteran of 2 kids- Pro at melted crayons, gum and the occasional barf blow out removal in the vehicles...

Use Goo Gone if it's in the fabric (that's what it looks like from pic) or cold spray/ice if it's on the fabric.

Another vote for dry ice. I figured if ice was good dry ice would be better. Worked great.

I would be careful to use any "Oil" type cleaner or solvent. First test it on material somewhere inconspicuous. Oil tends to stain fabric and will not come out easily.

take key board air cleaner, turn the can upside down and spray... it will freeze gum and you will be able to pick it off with your finger nails.. no stains from chemicals.

I shit you not, this happened to me 2 months after I bought it and I was pissed. Looked it up and tried the first thing that made sense. Distilled white vinegar and a toothbrush. Dip the tooth brush and brush at it until it starts to break down. Then pick it off with a toothpick or tweezers or whatever. Of course then hit it with upholstery cleaner to try and get *most* of the vinegar smell out before it settles. Final step is dealing with the vinegar smell for a week or two and hitting it with the cleaner every few days until it is gone. Worked like a charm for me and saved me being extremely pissed off at my friend...
