Welcome to TW! Hope you are ok after the collision. A qualified shop should look at your truck and give you the answers. The impact for airbag deployment should be non-trivial, meaning other repairs will be needed as well, in addition to someone looking it all over to make sure it is safe.

I agree, get it looked at real good. Years ago I had what I thought was a minor collision, turned out the 2 back exhaust manifold bolts broke off at the bolt head, on each side of a V8.

Yes, much more will be found upon inspection. Air bags = expensive.

I appreciate the replies I really do but does anybody have any specifics of what needs to be taken care of in the steering column in these cases that the breakaways deployed?

Just generally in these cases of the breakaway being deployed what needs to be replaced?

if the steering column breakaways deployed, I'd suspect you have some serious front end frame damage, and that steering column is the least of your worries.

but, I just went through the gen2 service manual and I'm not quite sure what this 'steering column breakaway' even is.

oh, and your truck needs to go to a collision shop with a frame alignment stand before you do ANYthing else... if the frame is tweaked, repair costs rapidly exceed replacement value of truck.

If the steering column has come loose from the dash mount you probably have broken / bent fastening or clamping parts in the column. The repairs could range from replacing a few pieces or the entire column.
