Holy crap you got that fixed quick!!! I would have spent a week trying to find the part and I know it would take me more than 2 hours to install. Nice job!

Started last night....between part allocation, tool rental, and labor probably 7 hours total. Spent an hour this morning just getting my shop light to work. If you had the tools and no issues I'd say 3-4 hours tops.

Right!?!. That's why I was thinking alignment. Hit it just the right way I guess.

Wish I could draw it out, but anyone who knows how the tacoma suspension works can probably visualize . With the wheel turned full left and the direct impact horizontal and hub high... There is absolutely zero tolerance in the suspension besides crap gettin bent. Can see this possibly happening in a crawling situation but the move would be bold! Have to be full cut and trying to climb at least a 16" lip. Gonna hold off on gussets for now. 3rd Tacoma, been hard on all of them and haven't had this happen before.

This was 100% diagnosed by the TW crew. Would have been in the shop for sure without all the input. In debt to you all

Agreed, the fact that you hit it at full lock and the light standard's height was the spindle's undoing. Glad you're up and going again. Retorque those fasteners in a few days, top it off with an alignment, and you are laughing. I assume no bumper damage?

And I agree Doording, knuckle is a better term than spindle for this part, though the term is somewhat interchangable.

More than likely. if the tire is rubbing the UCA, the spindle is bent. Possibly more including the UCA.
