    I flooded my truck in Mexico last year. Didn't suck up water into the engine thank god. Don't know how I didn't though. Luckily for me the only thing I had to do was rebuild my starter.

    Doug Thorley headers, urd 7th and Trd Supercharger, bilstein lift, trd locker just installed.
    Man thats rough. My first 1st gen tacoma a floated at fast speeds across rivers no snorkel, looking at water at windshield did not suck water into engine. If the water crossing is too deep the technique is to charge at high speed and once hit water let of gas to close the throttle body, pray then accelerate once front out enough. That truck got beat to a pulp had 270k miles before I sold it. I submerged it up to the dash once for about 2 hours once. got the water out of the intake fired right up spitting some water out. I tipped it two times on its side. Crashed it a handful of times. Anything I through at that beast it would always fire up and run. Reminded me of the hilux on topgear.
