Recently purchased a 2012 access cab Tacoma.
It’s had a few mods wheels, exhaust, bumpers, etc.
But I’m curious how much lift an what kind of suspension is under it.
It’s especially difficult because all have been under coated or painted black.
I’ve taken a few photos to see if anyone here with a more experienced eye can identify what I’ve got here.

    Thanks

These numbers are basically useless, but it might give you a rough idea on lift height.

I’m an 07’ access cab. - Stock - NO LIFT

Center of Hub to Fender running 265/70/16 - 31.2” diameter

    Front - 19-1/2”
    Rear - 21-1/2”

I should mention, that I use my truck.
I haul stuff in it, and I tow with it.
I also have a tool box in the bed.

If I were to bet, I’m probably 1/2” - 3/4” lower than it was when stock. Simply from age and use.

    Looking to modify!
Looks like factory Sport suspension off a 3rd Gen with a 2” level on the front. Hard to tell with everything being painted black but that’s no fancy suspension

That's stock with a leveling kit/spacer on the front. Also your truck has a 2 leaf rear spring pack that has a Toyota recall on it.

If the truck has lived in salt country, I'd be concerned about why all that stuff is slathered in black. Trying to hide something?

A good exam of the frame might be in order.

This right here.. Rattlecanning the undercarriage would be very concerning of an owner hiding rust prior to selling. That unpainted top rusted nut on the shock is a dead giveaway. If you are going to rattlecan to deceive a buyer, at least give it a 2nd look to make sure you didn't miss covering any exposed rust.

Either way, removing and installing a new lift would be a pain in the @ss when dealing with rust.

    Thanks for all your advice.
I’ll be modifying it in the months to come. First thing to contact the dealer on the recall.
