When I start my Tacoma I hear this clicking/tapping noise.
Seems to be coming from under the dash on the passenger side.
Anyone got any suggestions on what it is?

Does it make the sound with all the A/C controls OFF.
Turn everything off, the fan, the AC and Recirculate.
Then see if it still makes the noise. That way you can pretty much eliminate the Heat/AC system.

No idea. Have you tried pressing down on the passenger side of the dashboard? Might sound dumb but it's helped me eliminate noises from that area.. not this specific noise though

That’s where the blower hvac fan is - I’d do what @TnShooter suggested.

So I tried to identify the part that is making the noise. If I push on the part that is circled the noise goes away. Any idea what this part is? 64AE29CA-D73A-4CA8-8E48-9E5601117116.jpg

Is your air mix servo motor. After a while when they start to fail they start making a tapping noise. Eventually, it will fail causing the blend door to stay closed which means no heat. It basically allows heat into the cab when you turn the dial from cold/hot. This sound bugged me for the past 6 months until my heat did not turn on last week. I just replaced it (autozone has a replacement $30). Its held up by 3 screws and a wiring harness. 10 minute switch out. Mine ran for 6 months making that sound but you may just want to switch it out.

    This video was very helpful
