    Still figuring it out…
I was wondering what type of tree this is. My son got it from school in Kindergarten and he will be in 5th grade this year coming up. I believe it was to be an apple tree, he gave it to his grandfather to grow and this is what it looks like today. He doesn’t think it’s an apple tree so I wanted to post on here to see what you guys may think it is. Thanks

Can you post a full picture of the tree, detail of the bark and detail of the leaves from top down?

Leaves look like a Dogwood from what I can see, but the "flower pods" don't look like a dogwood?
Maybe you could show a pic of the bark?

Search "Cornus plant". I think that is what it is.

I have a plant identification app on my tablet at home. I'll try to remember to use it before I go into my other job.

Dogwood I have two in the front of my house and see hundreds of thousands all day at work. I'm 100% positive it is a dogwood.

Thanks, any idea what type of dogwood? I typed in dogwood and there seems to be a variety of them.

Dogwood. Opposite branching structure is a dead giveaway
