I primarily just want to level my 2nd gen access cab 4x4 but want to improve ride quality as well and I'm looking for some input. Basically decided to go with Bilstein 5100's all around but can't decide if I should stay with stock coils or go with the ome 883's to achieve the lift. I only need approximately 1.5 inches in front and it seems the 883 coils get close to that with the Bilstein's set at 0. I've read good and bad things regarding ride quality with the 883's and I'm just curious if they are going to make it more firm than the stock coils. And the flip side of that is if I stay with stock coils then I need to probably go to the 1.75 setting on the 5100's which may or may not firm up the ride. What to do, what to do. I don't take it off road, mostly just highway driving. Any input greatly appreciated.

Go with the 883 coils so that way you don't preload the stock springs which will make the stock ride feel even more firmer. But then again what one person firm ride is another person's stiff ride :notsure:

Coils are pretty cheap, I say do it once and be done. If you don't like the ride of the stock coils preloaded 1.75" you got to tear it all back apart and do what you should've done in the first place.
