My truck has recently developed a high pitched chirping or whining sound. It occurs in any gear, with or without 4wd engaged, but only when I'm maintaining speed. If I'm accelerating, braking, or just coasting it goes away. Any help in identifying this is appreciated. I included a video of the sound in the attached zip file.

Fair enough. I'll try to figure out how to get the MP4 into a format that will upload.

The link above goes to the video I uploaded on vimeo. And to be fair, I've only got 11 posts because I've not had any real problems with the truck. Anyway, appreciate any help you can provide.

Carrier bearing possibly? That noise sounds similar to other videos I've seen of failing carrier bearings.

I had to replace mine recently. It was making quite a bit more noise than what I hear in your video, but mine was in terrible shape.

I've got a Regular cab which I believe has a single piece driveshaft and no carrier bearing.
