    Ah yes well in CA they have special units for street rice racers that will impound the car & tear it apart looking for anything that isn't DOT/CARB approved. My buddy had an Evo9 built and running low 10's on pump gas... got pulled over, towed, then got a box of parts back with a court date. Most of the shit was kept as evidence & he had to part out what was left that he got back (rolling chassis pretty much). Best of luck with 500 bolt on HP, that sounds painful for the entire bottom end.
