    Hi All,

This is my first post as a new member and need some advice. I have a 2018 tacoma off road and installed new LED blacked out tail lights. The right side tail lights and turn signal did not work. I then reinstalled the original tail lights and everything worked fine. Thinking I may have not hooked up the LED's correctly I installed them again. This time my truck would not start and doesn't turn over.

I replaced the lights again with the factory lights and disconnected the battery hoping to reset something but had the same result.

I have seen online the the LED's may cause some problems with the regulators. I am hoping I have not damaged the computer or something.

    Any Advice?

I have attached a picture of the truck as Im pretty stoked on it as I know everyone on here is about tacoma's. Having it not start is a real ball kicker!!

I've heard some aftermarket taillights have been shipped wired wrong or backwards. Don't remember the brand name but I would check fuses

Check your fuses under hood and under driver side dash.

You didn’t check them all, because when you found the blown fuse, the car would start.

Yeah I got the Prinsu Rack from them and an ARB compressor. I wish I got the tail lights from there too.

Wasn't there just a thread about this a week or so ago or am I having some weird deja vu moment?

A fuse doesn’t have to appear blown to be blown. You need to check each one for power and make sure it is working that way.

Beginning mods, plan to install front ARB bumper, old Man Emu Suspension, Roll Bar with Retractable Lights.
Hey I bought my tail lights from Tacoma Beast, and my 2016 Tacoma did the same thing. Is Winjet LED Tail Lights just not work with the electrical system in these trucks or is it just defective lights they sent me?

What fixed it for me was switching the 10 stop fuse under hood to 30 and the 7.5 tail under dash to 15. Haven’t had problem since

3rd gen trucks: blow a tail light fuse lose staetability of the truck.

That's the legendary quality I have come to expect out of Toyota after so many years.
