Hello Im looking to get the black factory running boards and was set to get from toyota but now I came across these Ionic running boards on the internet that look exactly the same. It doesnt say if they need to drill or anything just that they come with all hardware and that it takes an hour or two to put on. Anyone have opinions or info on these if so let me know.

Don't know much about them. but they do look good. Also said they come with specific brakets, should be easy to install. I was also interested in them.:)

I know there are threaded holes with plastic bolts as caps to keep crud out and they're located under you cab on the sheet metal of the cab by the pinch weld/rocker panel, and that's where the factory ones bolt to, so if you have a pic of the ones you're asking about we can most likely help you.

I think this is what you talking about.

I had them on my truck, they mount under the cab using 5 of the 6 holes that have the plugs in them.
I know i had to cut the brackets back because the stuck out from under the running boards.
I took them off because i didn't realy use them, but they are a nice product.
