    *UPDATE*

So I wanted to post an update as this could possibly help someone else down the line. As soon as I left work yesterday afternoon, check engine light came on. Went to O-Reillys. I picked up some CRC MAF Cleaner.

First thing I did check the codes. P0171 and P0120. Essentially Too Lean and Throttle Position. Weird. So I cleared them. I then checked all the vac lines. They were solid. Seated properly, no pinholes. So I then decided to check the filter connection to the tube. Sure enough, the clamp came loose because I made a rookie mistake and didnt tighten down all the way initially. Dumb me. Fixed that.

Go for a test drive. Seems to be driving a bit better, but check engine light goes off again, and its still rough. Go back. Check codes. Same two codes. Damnit.

Next I disconnected both battery cables and turned the key a few times to drain any residual power, as suggested. With the cables off, I took out the MAF and gave it a once over. It wasnt that bad and really shouldnt have been fouling up. The filaments did seem to have a layer of dirt on them though that looked hard. So I sprayed the shit out of the MAF, inside and out, along with the pins. I let it drip dry at first, and then went over it carefully with papertowel. Once all dried up and clean, I reinstalled, nice and tight. Put battery cables back on and went for a test drive.

I could literally feel the difference and feel the ECU learn the new mapping while I was driving. It didnt take long at all. And guess what? No check engine light. I fixed it! Woo! This thing was hauling ass now and finally could feel the power difference.

And as I was having fun. Check engine light.

DAMNIT. Thankfully when I checked it, it was a different issue. Too Lean and Throttle Position were now fixed. The issue now is something that has been plaguing the truck since before I got it. Needs a new knock sensor. Otherwise, its all fixed. And so much fun to drive.
