can you use a screwdriver to pop open the rear sliding window without damagaing anything. IT looks like the plastic could pop off without breaking. Can anyone check from inside and see if its likely to break first or jus pop off without breaking somthing.

Maybe a flexible thin piece of metal but a screwdriver seems like it might damage it

Ahh I hate it when this happens. I've done it twice in my old 02 Taco and once in my 05 Taco. I used a flat head screw driver to pop it open, no damage done.

Note: I am not responsible for any damages if you decide to use a screw driver, just sharing my experience.

I wouldn't take a screw driver to the sliding window but I would remove the whole rear window. That would be less dangerous IMO.
