Bottom line up front--how do I get snow leopard (then lion ota) onto an mba 2009 with a new hdd and no previous backup? I have the laptop, hdd installed, snow leopard disc, and usb disc drive. PROBLEM: snow leopard will not recognize the hdd, therefore will not install. WHAT I'VE TRIED: pre-formatting the disk (via ubcd), wiping the disk. What now?
