help me buy a muffler not the brand but the specs.

    i have a stock 2010 tacoma trd sport and was wondering what size muffler i need to buy to fit on my tacoma?


    can i buy a 2.5 or larger in and out? or do i have to fit it on my 2.25 stock piping?
    i ask this because if my old muffler is 2.25 and the new one is 2.5 how will it fit the pipe?


    sorry i have limited experience in this topic.
    any info on buying a muffler would be appreciated.

    2.5 is fine, the muffler guy can hub it down no problem.
