Because the springer 2 piece full length guide rod requires a allen key to unscrew it and i wanted to be able to strip it in the field with nothing more than the magazine thats in it. The ILS mainspring is a saftey lockout that i didnt have any use for and standard plungers wont work in it so it went bye bye and a standard housing went on to simplify. Gun has had couple thousand rds threw it without a single hiccup. I am just saying there is a lot of gun to be had without spending $1500 dollars.

Never heard God and JMB discussed as 2 different entities!

Repent! Also your Milt Sparks recommendation is great. My VM2 is grail quality. Love it. Comfortably conceals my TRS.

Winner winner chicken dinner! For a first 1911 these parts are fine, but i wanted simplicity.

    JMB is our beloved prophet.:D

Yeah Sparks had a long wait for my VM2 (12 weeks IIRC) when I got mine years ago. Well worth the wait though!

I bypassed the wait with Lightning Arms, IIRC. Memory is fuzzy.

The more you post, the better your wife becomes! I remember my mom finally telling my dad the next gun he bought would be the one she'd kill him with!

He taught me very expensive bad habits can be fucking awesome!

    lol

Quoted for hypocrisy. You say an item is 'janky' immediately following a statement of how it's superior. Uhhmkay.

lol. I own more polymer pistols than anything else. If I needed to defend my life with something it would be a Glock, no question about it. Compared to the fit and finish of a 1911, polymer pistols are janky, thats a fact. But thats why they will run when a 1911 wont.

That was my point. If it's noticeably more reliable it's hardly 'janky'. If that's your measuring stick the 1911 would be 'janky' is all I'm saying. :D

Not really sure. The ground rules weren't laid out beforehand so I'm going by street definition from the midwest region. :D

If your decision is down to these two, flip a coin, buy some ammo and get ready to have some fun with one of the best 1911's money can buy.

    Commander isn't an edition.

Do you own a 1911? You're either the wealthiest one among us with knowledge on damn near everything that gets asked about or you're a parrot.
