Help me choose between these two wheels

    TRD and Wheelers Offroad.

    I like both.

    Pros...TRD is aluminum and lighter. Cons - Pricey $700+
    Pros...Wheelers is inexpensive, looks nice. Cons - heavy steel. $312

    For me, the TRD all day. It's not even close.

    I like the old school "recessed" look. The wheelers will give you that. The TRD are nice wheels though.

    I vote wheelers because the style and steel is stronger than Alloy.

    I have the TRD FJ Anthracites on my 4Runner. They're gorgeous wheels. Maybe I should go with the Wheelers since I already have a yota with these on them.

    I have driven on alloy and the steel.. and it all depends on well of course looks.. but how much you are driving.. I drive mostly city and the steelies killed me in mpg.. when I would hit highway.. mpg were 21.. but in the city killing me with 18-19.. alloys get me 20.6 city ( all this info is off my ultraguage)

    What kind of look are you going for? Seems that the trds would be better for daily driving and light offroading, and the wheelers would be better for a built offroad rig where you wouldn't care if you tore up your rims on rocks.

    I'm pulling a landscaping trailer with my DC. I'd be getting horrible MPGs to beging with...think the steelies will make it worse on 285x75's?

    Or you can switch them up if you want. Since you already have a set on your Runner, you should get a different set so you can change wheels on both vehicles

    I thought about that but they look badass on my runner...and I definitely need to have black on the Tacoma with the Rad Red. Maybe this is something I need to sleep on.

    If you off-road a lot I would go with the steelies.

    I have a nice dent in my aluminum wheel from a rock that had a point.

    going from a dead stop w/ a trailer and steelies.. yes.. it will be worse.. I read a lot on here about rotational weight and I would honestly find out how much each weighed if its 1-2 pound difference you aren't going to notice it.. mine.. trd alloys were 21.5 each and my steelies I had were 30.7 lbs each..
