Nice truck! Would love to have that color. Offset looks really smart - this is exactly what I'm looking for. Do you have any lift / level or all stock susspension?

Whatever you do, do not put a 275/70/17 and a 8.5 +0 wheel on a stock suspension Tacoma if you don't want to cut anything, ask me how I know....

All jokes aside, I'm not even running stock suspension, but the eibach stage 2 kit, I'm at like 1.25in of front lift and I do clearance for off-road. Remember you're shoving your wheels out almost 43mm going from stock 16x7 +25 to 17x8.5 +0. So your front wheel arc swing is going to hit a lot more stuff than your stock wheels. You may end up with some tiny rubbing on plastics even with a 265/70/17 on the new wheel setup, nothing major though.

Bone stock. It rubbed my mud guards slightly at tight turning so I took them off. If I did more off roading I’d lift it and go one size bigger. It’s about as big and wide as I’d go for road driving. Jouncing around on rutted out dirt roads it can rub here and there when turning but I don’t do it that often to warrant a lift

Looks really clean man. I have also been looking at the Eibach pro-truck coil-over kit Stage 2R and weighing up whether it's worth it or not. How do you like yours?

Like I mentioned I don't really do "Off-Roading" but my main roads are probably what some people would consider "off-roading". Lots of big potboles, steep steep hills, and a few beaches that are really rough, steep, dirt roads to get to. Overall cars and trucks here take a real beating and I'm weighing up whether getting something like this will help me out in the long run or cost me more money in the long run. Love the looks of the slightly bigger tires and lifted too.

I like the Eibach setup for the adjustability since it's a full coilover versus Bilsteins with their clip setup where you'd need to compress the spring to adjust ride height. They do tend to top out occasionally which doesn't feel the best but it's not anything bad for the shock, they just hit the end of their travel very hard. This is a common complaint on the stage 2, unsure if it stretches to the 2R. It doesn't bother me, but it's been well documented: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/eibach-pro-truck-coilover-2-0-stage-2.673107/page-75
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/eibach-protruck-2-science-experiment.828128/

I really do love the setup of my truck and I don't think I would've gone a different direction. The only exception would be if I wanted to spend the 3-4k off the bat. The eibach stuff is an excellent value for the money, it's like 1/3 the price of a king/fox setup and gives you good ride quality on and off road. That being said, it's not going to ride anywhere close to king/fox, but I never expected that at the price point. It drives/rides better than the stock OR suspension and allows flexibility on ride height (front), rear obviously is the springs and not the shocks.

I think SCS wheels look amazing on Tacomas. For tires I like Toyo

Correct, drive around.... TONS of 3rd party in the wild, Pros are rare, apparently except for TW. There's a reason they are popular here - they also look better than other auto makers wheels. My opinion.

OK so forgive my ignorance in this. Let me know if I got this right

    Sema wheels
    upload_2024-6-24_19-18-32.jpg

    Pro wheels
upload_2024-6-24_19-18-53.jpgAfter looking more into it there’s different versions??? Like 17-19 are gloss??
Btw, a lot of posts that show the first picture of Sema wheels call them pros.
I like the pros but I’m not a fan of spoke style wheels. I like the blockier style like the old Cragars

Method 316s 17x8.5 0 offset gloss titanium. BFG Trail Terrain 265-70R17. Tires are fantastic. Great ride, quiet and no real mpg loss. I'd also look at the Goodyear Ultraterrains, they're a great option aswell. I've had 2 sets of Ultraterrains. Good ride, little bit of noise(not much), but you'll lose about 1-1.5mpg. Stick with 0 offset to avoid trimming and rubbing...
