How do you like the K03's so far? Road noise? Do they ride smooth when cold? Wet traction issues?

I have the SL 265/70/16 Toyo Open Country At3's. I'm on my second set and can't say that I'll buy another. The first set was nice, but this second set the tires ride a little out of balance until warmed up. After 20k or so miles they really loose a lot of traction and performance. They're very soft and wear quickly.

    Yeah.
I think that is the replacement for the Rugged Trails that came on the 2nd gen Off Road (affectionately known as Rugged Fail in these parts). It's a highway tire with rugged styling. If that is what you want, they should be fine. If you want better off road performance, I'd look at the Toyo Open Country A/T III, also available in SL in that size. Plenty of options, really.

Actually very few options in 265/75/16 in SL or C available. I'm leaning toward trail terrains...

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
The 1st time you get a slug in that SL, you’ll be wishing you ponied up for the E (unless, of course you like spending your morning at a tire shop). You do you!

this concern does not outweigh the extra weight of E tires over the course of their life. To me at least.

BUT if I did more off roading on the regular, it would be a consideration.

Might be an optical illusion, but my Duratrac RTs in 70r16 (not offered in a 75r16 at time of purchase) look bigger than the OEMs did. Like you, I was waffling between 70 vs 75, but I wanted the new RTs so one less decision for me.

My duratracs in 265 75 seemed bigger than other 265’s I’ve run as well. How do you like the RT’s? It looks like a good upgrade from the old duratrac, hoping they offer load c eventually. My old duratrcs were great in the mud and snow, less good in the dessert, but they always ended up cupping even with proper rotations and alignment.

Do it , do it. You will not have any regrets going up one size, especially if your using the same oem rims. You will not get any rubbing issues.

I think most people don't need E rated tires. However; I went with E's with no regrets. I tow a travel trailer with the bed loaded and the trailer tongue weight is 425 lbs and I plan on going off road leaving the trailer in camp. I did an off road course a few months ago and the tires did great aired down traveling over many rocky sections.
