I hate threads/polls like this but I'm at an impasse here on if I want to run the hoop or not. Below are two pictures. Without and with hoop. Please vote in the poll and tell me if you personally like the clean look of no hoop or the rugged look with the hoop. Feel free to add any details to your decision to the discussion.

    Thanks!

So far with the hoop is in a pretty wide lead which I like to see because even though I'm not completely sold on the hoop two of those bolts are a bit if a bitch to get to to install so taking it off now might require more work than I'm willing to put in. Keep voting though and if it stays this one sided I'll have my answer. I guess it kind of completes the look so I understand it I just don't know that I'm completely sold on it. If it was one of those shorter ones like on the All-Pro aluminum bumper on their 'Brownie' truck (I think that's where I saw it anyway) then there would be no poll because I dig the look of that. I checked the website and the only bolt-on option that I could find is taller the same as the one I have though.

No hoop. Atleast not that style shown. I've seen a few done with some side braces with a mid hope. looks good.

Ive seen to many bend backwards w/o brace. If you don't think your going use it that much then you should color match the bumper dude! Ive seen some good looking color match after market bumpers on here.

Yeah, that's the one I wish they offered. I like the look of the mid-hoop mucho. I saw one that used it for an LED light bar that looked pretty decent too.

Oh man, don't start me on that trail again. I LOVE the look of a color-matched plate bumper, especially the pyrite mica trucks. It's just so much money and then I'd be super paranoid about scratching it if it's painted. Such a good look and I could do my rear bumper too.

It's really not that bad... just time consuming. The front two are basically underneath the hoop itself the way it curves so rather than just use a hex socket w/extension & ratchet like the rears I have to use one of those little hex key thingies that are shaped like an 'L' so I have to use the long end as a handle and then turn it like 1/8th turn each time before having to reposition. Turns a 2min job into like a 15min job. Obviously not the most difficult mod I've done in the last 24hrs but still not something I want to do a whole bunch of times because I'm lazy. :D

That is lucky. That and black trucks have all the luck man. :p

If the hoop has function you'll use, install it.

If you are considering the hoop as cosmetic, I like it off. (you asked for opinions)

If you want it off or on, why not put it on, tack weld the nuts to the bumper (make them captive) then you can remove/reinstall at will.

I'd not worry about color matching, unless you're not really going to use the bumper. If you're going to use it as intended, you might check www.monstaliner.com and see if they have any product that would be close enough. Or one that would be complimentary, but not black, if you wanted a different look that held up to abuse well.

If it functions, install it. If it's for posing, why poll? Play truck dressup or don't. Nobody else has to write the check then look at it every day.
