Traded my 2012 sport for the 16
Fire service. I have been a professional firefighter in Las Vegas for the last 4 years. I love my job everyday. It's honestly one of the best jobs a man could ask for imo. You get to see and do things most people don't get to along side your brothers that you will be close with for life. It's not easy to get hired, took me 5 years of serious dedication but trust me it's worth it. Also wildland firefighting is a great gig, I did it for a season on my pursuit of my ultimate goal. I now teach at our local explorer post and would be more than happy to answer any questions or give you advice on what steps to take. Pm me if your interested. Good luck in whatever you decide buddy.

One can never have too many light bars.
College? It's a pretty good time. Plus you can put off real life and not make any big decisions for another 4 years. Plus if you go ROTC you'll go for free and become an officer after. Bunch of my friends did that and I regret not.

Want a guaranteed job where you pick when you work, have 3+ months off at a time. Consider being a marine engineer or deck officer. I went to MMA as a non licensed major and sometimes wish I did MENG I would be making twice as much and have all the time in the world to travel.

You can still go military after graduating and have a solid career path after.

It still drives me nuts when friends from school come home after shipping out and buy a brand new car in cash.

Start your own business.....it is not that difficult & the government will help but it does require hard work and long term commitment like most everything worth living for ;)

That is what I did. Active duty enlisted, then went to college and ROTC while staying in reserves. I was more prepared for college after a couple years.

After that you will have many, many choices. Your thoughts may change as you are exposed to more. There is so much I knew nothing about when I was 18. Best.

Very true. Started welding in 7th grade and paid my way thru college until I flunked out.
