So I've spent the past few hours looking through stickies and post and honestly, I need a beer.

    What I have:

2017 TRD Off Road 4x4 Stock

    What I want to do:

    XD Rockstar II Wheels 17x8
    Nitto AT Grappler G2 Tires

    Problems are:

I still can't figure out the offset. It seems as I need 6x139 and they come in 10 and 35 offset?

Tire size: Max seems to be 265/70/17 Will these Rub. I do have mud guards and TRD OR Stock suspension.

    Reasons:

I want the biggest, meanest? look I can get without doing a lift. Brand new truck, don't want to mess with suspension yet.

    Thanks guys!

Done! Sorry, I'm new to posting. Thanks for that thread! In all my searches it didn't come up. So my next question is do I go with the 10mm or 35mm offset? On XD website it just says 10 or 35. Im assuming that's positive?

The irony is I had a 16 tacoma XP with the Rockstar package. Due to an unforeseen tree deciding to jump in the front seat I now am blessed with a 17 Off road. I just can't remember what size wheel or tire the XP rockstar package had. If you're like what the heck is an Xp, its a southeastern toyota thing.

The way I am seeing this is,
If you go with the 4.89 and 10 you will run into less issues. The 5.88 and 35 it will push the rim in further causing a rubbing on the uca problem, fixed by using wheel spacers.
I very well could be wrong.... but that's how I see it. The op of that thread I put in here.... Is a wheel expert. Don't hurt to ask in there too.

So went to discount tire today. I'm going to go with the Rockstar III wheels which are 17x8 and +20 offset. The sales guy stated that it would push the wheels out roughly 5mm. Tire size wise I want the 265-70-17. He stated that depending on the tire, they may rub. He recommended to play it safe and go with 265-65-17.

Tire options are Terra Grapplers, Duratracs and KO2's.
For the 65's The prices are 160/185/250 respectively.
For the 70's The prices are 150/170/195 respectively.

I like the 70's as you gain roughly 1" over stock.

Again, truck is 17 OR. No plans to lift nor level.

    Thoughts?

Just got back from DT. Decided to go with the KO2 in 265/70/17. Wheels are 17x8's. No rubbing whatsoever. I know many people aren't the biggest fan of RS but I love em. Way to many taco's with faux beadlock's around here. Tires are C load... Seem to ride much smoother. Truck feels more planted.

Oh, incase you're curious. Gained roughly 3/4" from ground front to back.

    Hey guys:
Just got a new 2018 Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4. Doing a 3" leveling kit from Low Range off road. Trying to get some advice on tires & wheels. Want to go with Fuel Boost wheels. 17x9 with 4.5" backspace and -12 offset. Tires will be BF Goodrich all terrains. Size 285/70/17. Have that same tire and wheel setup on my 2007 Tacoma except the wheels are Moto Metal 955s. Do you think it will be ok? I can always try swapping the tires once I get the leveling kit on. Hopefully this weekend.
