I've checked out many of the tailgate letter threads and would appreciate any advice on which to get. I like the chrome look although black might be ok. It seems the three main choices are vinyl, 3D plastic chrome and stainless steel.

My concern is if I had a problem with the plastic chrome or stainless letters and wanted to remove them it might be difficult since they are attached in the indentations.

If anyone has the plastic chrome letters or the stainless steel I'd like to hear what you think. Any and all advice is welcome. Thanks.

I have the matte black Tacoma, SR5 and the tailgate vinyl letters from rrentrop, and I personally like the vinyl letters for the tailgate, as IMHO they give more definition to the recessed letters then the raised plastic letters, and their very easy to apply, and they look great against the super white paint.

    back to topic:
Plus 1 on the rrentrop lettering. I used black reflective on my silver Taco.

Also, seems like dealers are adding this feature in Dallas cause everybody has them.
And the raised ones look as bad as adding the stick on vents to the front fenders.
