Oh no yeah but I was wondering which shocks would suit the lift you were looking for. 5125s would be perfect.

As for leaf springs, check out Dobinsons or Ironman 4x4. I have heard good things about the Dobinsons

I will check those out. Especially now that i know Dakars are not very compatible and squeeky according to half of the reviews. I saw a pair of 5125's for sale for 178.00, does that seem like a good price? Ive looked at a lot of sites.

$178 is about what I bought mine for. Be sure to search for coupon codes and whatnot and some vendors you can message and ask nicely to get a lower price or free shipping. Also, the 5125s require fitting of the lower shock eyelet to fit our tacomas

Do you have any good insight on springs? I know you can keep stock ones and everyone seems to run OME's. But not much else seems common.

Just for Icon's AAL and OME HD Dakars. The AAL without the overload was really nice for little to no weight soaking up bumps at speeds in the desert. Really smooth and I didn't experience too much sagging but they can't handle weight. Once I started working a job that required a bit of hauling I switched over to HD Dakars that are wayyy too stiff unless loaded down substantially. "Workhorse Wagon" springs is the phrase that pops into my head. I am planning on removing a leaf to see if it helps the ride a bit now that I don't haul anything again.

So a 5125, get the lower eyelet to fit, grab some nice bumpstops, new brake lines, a leaf pack and the rear will be good to go?
