From what i've read the Duratracs are much better in snow than the A/ts

the duratrac is the best tire i have ever had in the snow mine where never aired down nor studded and i only used 4 hi. i was actually trying to get stuck a few times in over 2 feet snow and ice and nothing.

i once had to turn the traction control off to kind of peel out of one spot but, thats it :D

if you live in a part of the country and it snows heavily and or you get snow and its important to you to have the best possible traction they are the tire to get period. if i aired mine down a little and or got them studded they would have been fucking crazy unstoppable.

the cooper stt is looking real good to me any of you guys running that tire have any pics to post i would like to see them on a taco

My cousin has the STT on his excursion and loves em but I heard they get loud after like 40% wear...maybe if I had more time offroad but that's sadly not the case :(

from guys that actually use them for what they are made for i have never heard anything other than sterling reviews.

its basically the same as the m/t mtz which is they best mudder you can and run on a dd. craziesj solved that riddle for me earlier today. i knew cooper made mickey thompson but, i didn't realize the tires where almost identical tread patterns the only difference is the side lugs he said.

either way when i get new meats or if someone want to trade me hint hint i'm all over a set of the coopers like white on rice :)

I've driven up and down the Colorado mountain passes, in the gnarliest of winter conditions, for almost twenty years now and the BFG ATs eat it up every time.

Granted I don't 4-wheel in the snow and I've never driven on Duratracs, so I can't speak to either... but there's a reason why I've never driven on any other tire for my Tacoma or Bronco.

wow dude those look fucking nasty

how are they you like them right? i need a set of these now lol i just got my trail fappers put on back in august and i'm already wanting to switch them.

not because theres anything wrong with them i just love the look of the coopers and i hear they are excellent tires.

a lot of guy in australia run those on there trucks so they have to be pretty good.

tacoma world has put my wallet in traction lol

i ran them on a few trucks as well they are a great tire. but, imo for winter time those duratracs where considerably better traction wise.

these are all good tires in the thread and the bfg's have pretty much been the standard for the last 20 years for the at tire but, and like i said its my opinion goodyear caught up on that shit.

what size did you go with?

i like the 295 size thats what i'm running now its perfect for a full 3 inch lift imo.

i just found out the other day that cooper makes the stt in 295
if i known that i would have picked these up back in the summer instead of the nitto's

the stt is a meaty looking bastard thats for sure. now to find someone willing to trade hmmm

Maybe after this set of BFGs I'll check out the Duratracs.

But I probably won't because it'll feel too weird

i ran sts for a while on my old truck and my dad as the new stts as do a few of my friends. They tear shit up and dig hard. But require a lot of rotaition to make em last long.

I have my 4 KM2s for sale now.. :D have a TON of life left in em.

No bad. KM2s are know to get 40-50k which is unreal for a MT!
