I am going to pre order a bumper for my 2012 tacoma. Going with relentless fabrication and i have OME 886 coils a 1.5"AAL in the rear OME Nitrocharger shocks all the way around. I am going to be using the bumper just for minor off roading and a winch will be attatched. Can't decide if i want to go with the aluminum or steel. The price for them is

    Steel base+Fogs+Summit guard $915

    Aluminum+Fogs+Summit guard $1070

I realize that the aluminum is lighter but are there any other PRO's to having the aluminum over the steel? I am guessing the steel will be a little bit stornger

i'd say just get the steel. It's cheaper and stronger.

Rust is the only thing I can think of, you'll need to look over the steel one ever so often and make sure its not rusting and if so treat it.

thanks. I was thinking the steel myself. I am going to line-x the bumper so rust should not be an issue. if it is i have a lifetime warranty

Does Eric even have a bumper available for the 2012s yet?
