    Good post! Having a similar problem with one idler pulley. A shop has recommended replacing the other two. Looks like that is warranted. The bad idler pulley was discovered sorta be accident. A whining noise developed(coming from alternator) then the shop removed the belt and verified a "crunching" noise.
