    Hello TW,

I've been having a weird chirping/squealing noise that occurs after warm up at low rpms (500-800) while under light load (ie when parking), but is silent while idle. Reving in neutral noise cannot be heard. It can be heard momentarily during engine shut off. I ruled throw out bearing since the symptoms just don't match. Took out my mechanic's stethoscope and started listening to everthing that spins. All the pulleys sound normal... I think, its hard for me to tell, I don't have a lot of experience with the mechanics stethoscope so I've never heard a bad bearing/pulley before. When I listened to the water pump, i heard a much higher pitched noise. Could this be it? What does it normally sound like? I need to find a mic so I can record it for you guys... Any opinions?

You could have the water pump pressure tested, and it will confirm if it's bad

sorry, I don't have much experience with the mechanic steth...

You have a 2013, I highly doubt that the water pump is bad. How many miles? You should be under warranty.

approaching 65,000 miles now. Spent some time listening to each pully/bearing again. I was wrong about the noise coming from the water pump, turns out it was the top middle idler making the noise. It's getting worse now especially with the heat. Going to buy two idlers and replace since the belt is out.
