Extended length shocks are supposed to use with aftermarket UCA. My King EXT length states it in the install to use an aftermarket UCA. Some not sure if all have built-in caster so yes it will change the setup. My TC UCA pulled the wheel back which I then had to add an additional caster in alignment and the CMC. It's really not a big deal to trim off the front and weld a new plate on. the cab mount itself remains in the same place.

yah that doesn't look good. could be a LT shock or as you noted a 6" lift shock. Also make sure when you tighten the UCA the truck is on the ground.

We've all been there at some point in our lives regarding bad purchases and install mishaps. Theres always a risk buying used especially suspension parts. Some sellers will tell you want you want to hear to get the sale.
Get some new COs, LCAs, install, align ,and enjoy the truck.

Find a part number on the shock, or serial number, or something - it's definitely not for the application you want, but we might be able to help you trade/sell it for something that will work.

    Update:

I found some replacement fox coilovers that are low mileage and installed them with the oversized hardware in the oversized holes. Not my best work but I'm not concerned about it structurally. In the meantime I also did the ECGS bushing in hopes of tightening up some play in the drivers CV Shaft. To my dismay it did not fix the issue. I am going to upload a video to youtube tonight to gets yalls opinion on the matter. The CV joint has about 1/8" of play measured from the beginning of the boot when you pick up on it. Could the extreme angles have compromised the axle? the joints feel as tight as ever but like I said there's slop in the connection to the diff. I want to get this tightened up as there is a pretty decent shimmy/vibration when I get up to about 60mph increases with speed after 60. No noises but more of a butt massage. Also accl/decel, brakeing, turning don't seem to effect it. Only thing I noticed was in an on-ramp type situation it gets worse?? direction of turn non dependent.

To pick up the new coilovers I had to take a bit of a roadtrip and after 6hrs at 75 or so the vibration is hardly noticeable at 60 anymore. Sometimes the steering wheel will get in on the action and pitch back and forth but the truck drives straight still. Feels like wheel balance issues but the wheels and tires haven't changed since I started this project. Also suspect is the fact that I haven't done an alignment (scheduled for tomorrow as well as wheels and tires). Could this be the culprit? Could the carrier bearing be the issue? I thought I read that was more a 40ish mph vibe not a 60+

I'll be contacting FOX next week to see if I can figure out what these extra long bois are for so I can try to get something out of them weather here on TW or on some other forum full of truck dorks.

As always I appreciate all the help from you guys.

A bad carrier bearing can 100% give you driveline vibes. Tires needing to be balanced also a common culprit.

Are they Tundra shocks? My buddies Sequoia uses 9/16 (14mm) lower bolts. The Fox shocks have a very thin mis-alignment spacer that wears out fast. If they're for a Tundra/Seq he's looking for a new set of shocks.

They came with misalignment spacers but they were not the correct size (symmetrical and too small diameter). Without the factory spacers the bore on the coilover is 5/8 so I drilled out my LCA and made some spacers of my own.

I wont be able to investigate further what they belong to until next week. I am packing for a trip tonight and leaving right from work tomorrow but once I know I will update you.
