Yeah I only saw the one pic with your 5100s. Sounds like usually though, after settling people are getting around 2" lift front and rear?

Why do you want to lift the truck and how do you use it to need a kift?

If it's for stance and looks I'll recommend a lift in your budget.

If it's for frequent offroad use then describe the type of offroading you plan to do as the lift should be suitable for that. What size and type of tire do you plan to run? How much time do you spend Offroad vs onroad?

If its for rock crawling your 5 month old truck I recommend buying a used truck and build that instead.

Mostly for looks, and mild off roading but want to get into it more in the future. Want a good 2-3" higher. For now will keep my trd pro 16" wheels. Eventually might want 33's but don't want to slug my truck down.

Then decide between 2 or 3 inches because that will determine UCAs.

Do you haul anything in the bed and what kind of trails are the light offroading going to include? Fire trails and dirt roads or rocky trails needing articulation?

What kind of tires, AT, MT, E load, C or something else?

    33s as in 255/85/16 or 285/75/16?

Are you looking to cut and hammer your truck?

Those questions need to be answered for a good recommendation.

Here's more than enough for what you will need without breaking the bank or your budget.

    6112/5160 bilsteins
3 leaf progressive AAL from either headstrong or Wheelers, no need to pay %50 more just to have ICON written on the same product.
    SPC (Light Racing) UCAs
    ECGS bushing
Keep it at 2 inches or less of lift
    Run 265/75/16 tires.

Truck will do everything you want it to do without rubbing, excessive wear or being sluggish with too much weight.

awesome thanks jsin! Yeah, I would say light off roading, fire roads and some hiking trails. Minor rock crawling. I think headstrong has that exact kit you're talking about. I wouldn't want to take away from what stock gives me... so would I want a stiffer rear like the dakars to keep the stock load and towing specs? I'm just worried a 2" lift isn't that noticeable, but I could be wrong. How much does it usually cost to install all of this stuff anyways?

Do you haul or tow alot? If not the 3 leaf is fine, especially if you daily drive with an empty bed most of the time.

If you want to tow or haul heavy more frequently add sumo springs.

Is the 3 leaf still retaining the same load capacity and towing strength as stock? Also... what would the overall lift be front and rear with this setup?

Front would depend on what you set the coils up to, max height is 2 inches as the 6112 are adjustable.

Rear with the overload left in will give you 2 inches, I've had 800lbs in the rear of my truck a few times and the sag was level to the front without hitting g the bumpstops with my 3 leaf. It was getting mulch home from the nursery and the truck hauled just fine.

Haven't towed anything but if concerned, add the sumo springs like I said before.

OK thanks. So if I wanted higher than 2" lift, I'd have to go 5100's instead of 6112's?

Kings, 8112s, Ads, icon, and fox will all get you there.

2" and below you don't need ucas.

That's more than he would ever need for what he plans to do.

Yes, 5100s and 887 or 888 springs will get the over 2 inches and staying under will allow him to retain the factory UCAs.

    Agreed.

People should start there first then ask if anyone here is running what HS recommends for feedback.

All I've read are positive results.

Thanks guys, I’ve sent an email to Marie!

Are the 5100s an upgrade from my stock Off Road suspension at least... for off-roading? I’ve heard that using them in the highest setting isn’t the best... or maybe that’s just using the stock coils.

I run the 5100s set at zero with 885 coils for just under 2 inches up front, been running it for 18 months now and love the setup. I have about 15k miles on it now, truck is still soft like the stock OR shocks but less bouncy in turns, braking and bumps.

Very pleased and I would have recommended what I have but your budget is double what I wanted or needed.

Nice. From a performance/ quality standpoint though, are the 5100s technically an upgrade? Also what do you have put back? Would love to see what your truck looks like

I'm going to be the contrarian here.

I have the 888/5100 combo from headstrong. I wrote a similar thread to this asking questions, everyone said have me similar sheep responses. They're nice people over at headstrong, but there's other options out there. I never thought the ride was that much of an upgrade from stock. Now dealing with a warranty issue, it's a fucking nightmare. To get my coils replaced is going to cost me 100.00 to just to get them disassembled, not to mention another alignment, labor, etc. I like to talk to people on the phone before I send them 1500.00+ of my money. It was a flurry of emails and 1 phone call. I ordered replacement coil overs from rogue offroad, Shaun picked up the phone when I called, and when we talked suspension, he'd ran everything he's sold on a Tacoma. I've spoken to other vendors and spent lots of time talking to manufacturers (king, bilstein, as, fox, and toytec) researching options. I find it interesting that there's a cult following for a company that doesn't take phone calls.
